Sr. Certification Lead - Common Criteria & Cryptography (m/f/d).

At fiskaly, we are a market-leading provider of cloud fiscalization solutions. This means we enable thousands of business to easily create tax-compliant transactions, through our simple API-first approach. We know the most important part of our company are our people, and are therefore very happy to have been certified a Great Place To Work (2023).

We are looking for someone to join our engineering department and take responsibility for the certification of our different cloud solutions. As fiskaly often operates in highly regulated environments, we are required to ensure we provide solutions that are reviewed and certified by national agencies, and this role will be focused on that process.

Ideally you can take charge of our existing certification processes, driving them to the finish line, as well as being ready to initiate and be responsible for future certifications as necessary.

What can you expect if you join us?

  • You will be responsible for certifications for product certifications throughout our company, beginning with our flagship product Sign DE. You will work directly with the teams responsible for creating the products, will be the primary contact with regards to certification.
  • You will decide how to approach the certification process and to organise your own schedule in coordination with related company stakeholders, with the expectation that whatever approach you choose provides a transparent record of progress to others who are impacted by the progress of the certification, and to allow for redundancy

  • You will be the primary person responsible for communication with the external evaluator, and stakeholders such as the German Bundesministerium für Finanzen and Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik, and will be supported by colleagues where required

  • You will read and author documentation that is often highly technical for the certification process, in German and in English, based on standardized industry approaches such as Common Criteria, ISO standards, and Technische Richtlinien of the BSI.

  • You will define and communicate tasks to the development teams/Technical Product Owners when it is required for certification, in a way that provides them all of the relevant details. It is not expected that you do the development work yourself, however an understanding of different development approaches and constraints would be helpful here.

You will be a fit for our team if

  • You stay true to yourself; We strive for a diverse environment, this is why for us it doesn't matter your gender, heritage, beliefs or how you identify yourself - we welcome and value everyone the same

  • You have experience dealing with Common Criteria and other similar frameworks and standards, and have lead successful CC certifications in the past

  • You have a certification as a CC Evaluator, or as a Protection Profile/Security Target writer

  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • You are comfortable working without strong external guidance, and happily take initiative to unblock yourself and continue moving forwards

  • Your interpersonal skills are strong, and you’re able to work both autonomously and in conjunction with others towards a common goal

  • You are well organised and comfortable recording information in a way that can be understood by others

  • You work with a focus on redundancy, ensuring the certification process is not blocked by a single person

  • You are fluent in English and German, and are comfortable working in both

You will impress us if

  • You have working knowledge or experience with PKI systems
  • You have experience working in software development and understand different software development approaches

  • You have an understanding of Agile methodologies

  • You have a proven ability to guide complex projects with multiple stakeholders to a timely result

What can we offer you?

  • A modern approach and interesting problems to work on

  • The possibility to grow, to try new things, to fail, and to learn

  • The chance to bring innovation in an old industry

  • A gross salary in the range of EUR 70k - 85k/year

  • Company hardware

  • Public transportation ticket

  • 38.5 h/week contract, and a No All-In contract

  • 25 Vacation Days/year

  • Standard perks: fresh fruit, coffee & tea, soft drinks

  • Access to a nice office close to the subway station

  • Flexible working times (hybrid)

  • Flexible home office policy

  • Last but not least, a lot of autonomy and the possibility to change the way we work here at fiskaly - you will be able to directly influence and shape the future of our organisation!

What you will not find here

  • Monotonous and boring days
  • Closed doors

  • Lack of understanding and unfair treatment

  • Rigid structures that ignore the reality of peoples' lives, because #PeopleComeFirst

Feeling discouraged because of all those requirements? Don't be :)
Oftentimes women, the neurodiverse, and people of colour don't apply for a role when they cannot check every box. We encourage you to apply nonetheless. Skills can be learned. What is more important at fiskaly is building a diverse team of motivated people who feel welcomed and valued.
